Karl spent almost 30 years creating information graphics for various news organizations including Newsweek magazine and the Associated Press, where he served as their Director of Information Graphics.

Bob Albers

Bob Albers is a documentary filmmaker with extensive experience as a producer, director, cameraperson, writer, editor, and executive producer and teaches film and video production at MSU.

Howard Bossen

Howard Bossen has worked as a photojournalist and run a graphic design business. He is interested in the history and criticism of photography, cultural history and media and American Studies.

Henry Brimmer is a graphic designer, photographer, and educator. He arrived as part of a group hired to “bring back the arts to Communication Arts,” and whose dedicated work has resulted in the creation of the Media Sandbox

Andrew is an artist (3D and 2D), designer, and co-founder at Adventure Club Games, a contract and grant development studio in East Lansing Michigan.

Gould spent 17 years as a TV news photojournalist, 14 at WZZM-TV station in Grand Rapids, Michigan where he served as the Chief Photojournalist overseeing a staff of 11 photojournalists and editors.

John J. Valadez is a Peabody Award winning filmmaker who has written, directed and produced many nationally broadcast documentary films. He grew up in Seattle, taught photography in India, and studied filmmaking at New York University.

Along with teaching, Valeta evangelizes for the department and designs public-facing graphical assets, such as brochures and websites, for departmental needs and community outreach.

After graduating with Honors from The London Film School in the UK, he was brought to Los Angeles by CBS where he worked in Broadcast Journalism, Film, Television and TV Commercials as a writer, director and cinematographer.
